Background
The bread-and-butter of one of my company's top competitors is text message marketing, including MMS content to enhance the efficacy of triggered text sends. I was tasked with developing our own internal MMS design strategy by refining campaign goals and building scalable MMS templates to support them.
Design Process
We first redefined MMS messaging strategies by breaking down the types of text campaigns being run and developing categories based on the intended messaging. By organizing the campaign goals into central themes, we could tailor our motion graphic templates to each strategy and ensure optimal communication of the value at hand to the recipient.
Using both generic and public-mention client branding for my templates, I built out working files in Photoshop and After Effects for easy, quick replication of our tailored MMS designs in which only the branding, assets, and copy needed to be updated by a designer upon future use - the animation, timing, and motion effects are already in place and ready to go.
